Koziol promotes musical talents
koziol »ideas for friends GmbH has been a founder of the sponsorship prize of the Musikschule Odenwald e.V. in Erbach for many years now.
This competition has been taking place annually since 2002. All participating students must undergo a rigorous selection process, and the prize is a grant for one extra hour of lessons per week for an entire year. This year, seven of the coveted scholarships were awarded in the categories violin, cello, guitar, accordion, piano and singing. The prize is donated by koziol in cooperation with the Sparkasse Odenwald.
The awards ceremony took place as part of a concert in the Schenkenkeller in Michelstadt, where all participants of the competition presented their contributions to a public audience. The students of the Musikschule Odenwald consistently perform at a very high level, sometimes leading to participation in nationwide competitions such as "Jugend musiziert".
koziol sees the promotion of this valuable project as part of its corporate responsibility, because music is an important and meaningful component of human culture. Preserving this cultural heritage will play a vital role in the sustainable development of future society. By supporting such projects on an annual basis, koziol helps ensure further development.
The Musikschule Odenwald e.V. is a public educational institute for children, adolescents and adults with a total of around 550 pupils. The music school trains young talents from early musical education to instrumental and vocal training and prepares talented students for further music studies. A special focus is the ensemble work as well as the cooperation projects with general education schools. The Musikschule Odenwald e.V. is funded by the state and is a member of the Association of German Music Schools (Verband deutscher Musikschulen e.V. in short VdM), upon which the framework curriculum is based. All subject teachers have strong pedagogical-didactic competences whose main objective are to strengthen personal development – the promotion of not only musical, but also linguistic, motor and social skills.
